As part of its commitment to the community and the promotion of a culture of prevention, Operational staff of the Municipal Fire Department of the Canton of Santa Rosa provided training in Basic first aid to the boys and girls participating in the vacation course developed in the Quitumbe Military Base.
Throughout the day, the children learned simple yet vital techniques for acting in emergencies, such as how to ask for help, what to do in case of falls or minor injuries, and basic notions of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), all adapted to their age and through fun activities.
The training was well-received by both the summer camp instructors and the military post representatives, who highlighted the importance of teaching skills from an early age that promote safety, self-care, and solidarity.
The Fire Department continues to strengthen its educational role in the community, contributing to the comprehensive development of children and fostering preparedness for emergency situations.
